Position Description - Civil Engineering Project Manager - Transportation
As a part of our growing civil engineering team you will take the lead in design and/or construction management of various transportation, land/site development, infrastructure, and facility improvement projects.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion within scope, schedule, and budget
- Foster and maintain relationships with the team and clients
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, the team, and cross-departmentally
- Build trust with management by completing tasks in a timely and budget-conscious manner
- Delegate tasks effectively to the team
- Support the engineering design team, ensuring availability of internal expertise and mentorship
- Handle conflict resolution within project work
- Responsible for completion of reports and technical documents
- Participate in intake and development of RFPs and RFQs
- Lead design team members in project review and perform project-related quality control
- Willingness to learn key elements of civil engineering design relevant to our projects
- Directly responsible for safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs for our clients
To be considered for this position you will need the following basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with emphasis in Civil Engineering
- PE license or the ability to obtain within one year of hire date
- Minimum of 3 years of design experience in Municipal, site development, grading, drainage, storm water and related permitting in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois
- Practical experience with Wisconsin DOT projects and municipal roadway design
- Project Management experience is required
- Experience in Business Development and client interaction is a plus
- The ability to work collaboratively with other team members and clients
- Demonstrate strong organizational, communication and computer skills
- Experience with relative computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to read, review, and perform QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) on designs
- Experience scoping projects
This position will require collaboration with other team disciplines including Land Surveying, Planning and Construction Management to maintain project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.

Salary : $98,000 - $120,000
