We’re expanding our Land Surveying Division and seeking an Associate Land Surveyor to support and lead projects throughout Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, mid-level surveyor ready to take the next step in professional growth and leadership.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Land Surveyor who will play a key role in managing both field and office surveying operations for public and private land development projects. This individual will oversee boundary, topographic, and construction surveys; coordinate with project managers and clients; and provide mentorship to junior staff while supporting the continued growth of our Folsom office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing control surveys, preliminary and design surveys, and construction staking.
• Prepare and review maps, plats, legal descriptions, and other survey deliverables.
• Provide QA/QC review of survey work for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and public agencies to support project objectives.
• Lead and mentor field crews, providing technical guidance on data collection, calculations, and mapping procedures.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for multiple concurrent assignments.
• Support preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and project deliverables.
• Contribute to staff training, development, and workflow improvement across the survey team.

Qualifications

• Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in California.
• 3–10 years of progressive land surveying experience, including boundary and construction surveys.
• Strong understanding of field-to-finish workflows, including GPS, total station, and LiDAR data collection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative, team-based environment.
