We’re expanding our leadership in the field and seeking a Senior Remote Sensing Manager to grow and oversee our Remote Sensing Division from our Folsom headquarters.

Position Overview
The Senior Remote Sensing Manager will lead the continued growth of R.E.Y.’s cutting-edge Remote Sensing team — managing advanced LiDAR, UAV, and photogrammetric projects, while developing staff both locally and across state lines.
This position will work closely with our Principal Land Surveyor and Remote Sensing Project Manager, who’ve pioneered R.E.Y.’s mobile LiDAR capabilities, and will play a key role in shaping the future of our remote sensing operations through team leadership, technical innovation, and business development.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

• Build, lead, and mentor a growing remote sensing team in Folsom and remote locations.
• Develop training and onboarding programs for LiDAR technicians, UAV specialists, and analysts.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on accuracy, safety, and innovation.

Technical Oversight

• Manage and coordinate complex LiDAR, UAV, and photogrammetry projects — from acquisition through post-processing and feature extraction.
• Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring all deliverables meet R.E.Y.’s rigorous standards for precision and quality.
• Implement workflow improvements across platforms such as MicroStation, TopoDOT, and Trimble Business Center.
• Integrate remote sensing workflows with surveying, GIS, and engineering teams.

Project & Business Management

• Oversee budgets, schedules, and scopes for remote sensing projects across multiple states.
• Collaborate with clients to assess needs, propose methodologies, and deliver advanced geospatial solutions.
• Support business development by preparing proposals, cost estimates, and participating in presentations.
• Represent R.E.Y. at professional events and conferences to promote our leadership in mobile and UAV LiDAR.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in LiDAR, remote sensing, or geospatial data management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field (preferred).
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Certification in California
• Leadership experience managing technical teams across multiple locations.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, TopoDOT, Trimble Business Center, and UAV/LiDAR workflows.
• Strong understanding of mobile and static LiDAR systems, GNSS, and UAV data integration.
• Proven experience in project management, business development, and client relations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and mentorship skills.
