R.E. West Transportation is Hiring Experienced CDL-A Truck Driver Training Specialists!
This is a truck driver training position. You’ll spend your time on the road teaching, coaching, and mentoring new CDL-A truck drivers as they prepare for successful careers with R.E. West Transportation.
You may qualify through either previous truck driver training experience or extensive OTR truck driving experience:

R.E. West's CDL-A Driver Training Specialists are a small group of highly skilled, highly motivated professionals with exceptional technical driving ability and the heart of a teacher and mentor. To be considered, you MUST meet the OTR experience requirements stated above.
Wage Range: 65000.00 - 85000.00 per year

You may qualify through either previous truck driver training experience or extensive OTR truck driving experience:
- 2 years of OTR truck driving experience AND previous truck driver training experience, OR
- 4 years of OTR truck driving experience and a willingness to become a truck driver trainer—no previous training experience required

What You’ll Do as a CDL-A Truck Driver Training Specialist
- Provide hands-on, behind-the-wheel instruction to new CDL-A truck drivers
- Coach new truck drivers on safe driving practices, trip planning, equipment operation, company procedures, and DOT compliance
- Evaluate truck driver trainee performance and provide ongoing feedback
- Help new truck drivers build the skills and confidence needed to succeed
- Serve as a mentor and positive example throughout the truck driver training process
- Share living quarters in the truck with trainees while providing over-the-road instruction

Job Requirements:
CDL-A Truck Driver Training Specialist Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- 2 years of OTR driving experience with previous training experience OR 4 years of OTR driving experience and a willingness to train
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- No misdemeanors or DUIs within the past 10 years
- Clean driving record
