Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for projects and technical development in the engineering discipline. Acting as a senior advanced engineer in the department and may also fill the role of Project Engineer on some projects.

Job Type: Full Time

Location: North Olmsted, OH or Birmingham, AL

Schedule: Hybrid

Pay Range: $120,000-147,000

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Leads proposal development and project documentation including estimating engineering hours for scope and scope development.
• Maintained and tracking budget and scope throughout the project.
• Identifying scope variance and preparing change orders.
• Adheres to provided Project Execution Procedures and other company procedures.Assists with proposal development and project documentation including estimating engineering manhours for scope and discipline scope development.
• Checks the discipline’s scope and budget progress and alerts the Project Manager to needed changes to the scope or other services, including weekly tracking communication.
• Reviews work of the project design team.
• Works with existing clients to grow existing relationships and further develop additional client relationships including developing new clients.
• Prepares complex calculations, designs, specifications and/or reports for checking and reviewing by others.
• Checks complex calculations, designs, specifications and/or reports prepared by others.
• Directs and assists co-workers with performing field measurements.
• Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to the building code is required.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required, with a preferred specialization in Electrical or Structural Engineering.
• PE Certification required.
• 12 years previous design experience required.
• Proficient in the use of computer for design and understand “CAD” operations. Revit and BIM 360 experience highly desirable.
