R.E. MICHEL COMPANY LLC, a leading wholesale distributor of HVACR parts, equipment and supplies, with over 300 branch locations from coast to coast, has a potential career opportunity in our corporate offices for a full time Regional Credit Manager to join our busy Credit Department.

General Summary: Reporting directly to the Director of Credit, primary responsibility is to manage the credit management and account collections activity within a specific assigned territory.  The RCM has an understanding of the various state and federal statutes concerning liens, bonds, sales tax exemptions, collection practices, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Robinson-Patman Act (anti-trust).  The RCM also has a working understanding of a wide variety of customer organizational types, business sizes and R.E. Michel branch operations. The RCM directly supervises one or more Credit Associates, and has a dotted line to a credit clerk from the AR and Credit Support Group.
Pre-employment screenings required. 

Duties include: managing credit associates and the collection of outstanding receivables, account research, account reconciliation, account management including collections of larger/critical accounts while promoting sales efforts, visiting customers and attending regional sales/managers meetings. Ideal candidate possesses solid interpersonal skills with prior supervisory experience, 5 years collections or related A/R experience, excellent telephone manner and professional appearance.
