Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dynamic behavioral health teamand youth services. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to stabilize patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or behavioral crises.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychotherapy modalities, medication management collaboration (psychopharmacology), and behavioral interventions tailored to each patient's needs.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA-compliant records to ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Engage in clinical research activities when applicable, contributing to data collection efforts that enhance treatment outcomes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or equivalent in your state or region.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health settings; hospital experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or those experiencing PTSD or grief issues.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and addiction counseling.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions and treatments; understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy is essential.
- Excellent skills in social work practices, case management, patient assessment, behavior management, and crisis management strategies.
- Ability to work effectively within outpatient or inpatient clinical environments while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
