R&D Partners is seeking a Sterile Compound Technician to join a pharmaceutical company in Alabama. This role focuses on the preparation and admixture of sterile pharmaceutical products in a highly controlled, regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have strong aseptic technique, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with FDA and cGMP requirements.
Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compound sterile pharmaceutical products in ISO 7 rooms and ISO 5 workspaces.
- Maintain manufacturing records and complete documentation per cGMP, FDA, USP, and state board guidelines.
- Operate and monitor technical compounding and filling equipment to ensure quality standards.
- Weigh and mix materials for sterile medication compounding.
- Perform quality assurance testing and device/equipment sterilization under pharmacist supervision.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder low or expiring materials.
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the cleanroom environment.
- Complete end-of-batch reconciliation and count verification.
- Successfully complete aseptic technique competency evaluations and product validations.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department or pharmacy manager.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy (license in good standing).
- Sterile compounding experience with strong aseptic technique.
- 503B sterile compounding experience is a plus.
- PTCB Certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints.
- Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- 20/20 vision (aided or unaided).
- Fine motor skills.
Compensation:
- $22.00-$24.00 Per Hour
