What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate (Genomics) position at R&D Partners?
Our biotechnology client is seeking a motivated Research Associate to assist in the discovery of groundbreaking therapeutics by supporting the primary research of several hundred internal customers.
This is a 12-month contract based in Dixon, California.
Responsibilities
- Processing high volume samples in the laboratory (both manually and via laboratory robotics).
- Analyzing and performing quality control of genetic data.
- Helping to evaluate and implement new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree required ideally in Genomics or Forensics.
- 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting.
- Lab experience required in instrumentation, manual PCR, validation/troubleshooting, and analyzing and reporting.
- Must be detail oriented and should have a learning mindset.
- Must be able to work in a fluid and diverse environment.
- Possess a strong desire to participate in research support efforts while feeling comfortable working primarily in a laboratory setting.
- Nice to have: Next Generation Sequencing and experience with NGS technologies like Miseq and/or Illumina.

- $64,480-$70,720
