Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering.
- Utilize fabrication skills to create custom parts or modify existing components for vehicle restoration or repair projects.
- Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting, auto refinishing, and detailing to restore vehicles’ appearance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment efficiently and safely to complete repairs.
- Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks and perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
- Follow fabrication repair techniques and automotive welding standards to ensure durable and safe repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes including auto restoration, dent repair, and sheet metal work.
- Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and automotive welding equipment operation.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive structural components and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Ability to perform automotive cosmetic repairs such as auto painting and refinishing with attention to detail
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working on vehicles in various positions for extended periods.
