Job Title: Quality Inspector
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) through inspection, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Verify product conformity to dimensional and visual requirements
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 (if applicable)
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify and document nonconforming material (NCM)
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards
- Support internal and external audits
- Work closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or technical degree preferred)
- 2 years of inspection experience in manufacturing or aerospace (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA/EASA Part 145 if applicable)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
