Cleanroom Process Technician - Injection Molding - B-Shift

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Level 1:
- Responsible for hanging and setting up tools in preparation for production runs, following the setup sheet guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and guidelines to maintain mold setup parameters within tolerance.
- Complete the Job Setup and Start-Up Log accurately and comprehensively.
- Maintain a strong and collaborative working relationship with the Quality team to ensure the delivery of high-quality finished products.
- Conduct press shut down procedures, following mold pull protocols, and properly bag and tag the last shot with the runner.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure accurate alignment and installation of molds.
- Assist in monitoring machine settings to meet quality and production targets.
- Thoroughly document all changes made to the ALS program using the setup change log.
- Perform inspections of molds and equipment to identify any signs of wear or damage.
- Demonstrate understanding of Lean Manufacturing Fundamentals, including 5S standards and housekeeping practices.
- Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities: Level 1:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and processes accurately.
- Basic understanding of mold setup parameters and ability to maintain them within tolerance.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Fundamentals, including 5S methodology.
- Scientific molding training preferred.
- Require troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze machine data output to make necessary adjustments.
- Understanding of quality requirements and ability to conduct inspections using hand tools.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to contribute to productivity and efficiency enhancements.
- Mentoring and training skills to support the development of Level 1 Setup Technicians.
- Thoroughly document all changes made to the ALS program using the setup change log. All changes must be within control limits.
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with injection molding preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms.
- Frequent requirements include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- The employee should also be able to talk and hear effectively.
- Ability to manipulate small parts and perform detailed handwork.
- Ability to lift weight of 30 lbs.
- Manufacturing environment requiring appropriate PPE.
- Manufacturing in ISO Class 8 cleanrooms requiring proper PPE including gloves and face mask.
- Exposure to typical noise level in the work environment that may requiring hearing protection.
- Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day
