Specialist Plant Launch
Where we need you
- Manage and monitor daily customer EDI requirements to ensure accurate planning and on-time deliveries.
- Coordinate all Prototype and Pre-Series material planning activities to support launch schedules and customer demand.
- Ensure availability of components and raw materials required to meet Prototype and Pre-Series production plans.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory monitoring of Prototype and Pre-Series materials.
- Coordinate customer sample requests, bank builds, and special production requirements in collaboration with the Launch Manager.
- Plan and oversee Prototype shipments from external tool shops and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate SAP master data and planning parameters for Prototype and Pre-Series programs.
- Monitor exception messages and expedite materials as necessary to prevent production or delivery disruptions.
- Communicate proactively with customers, suppliers, project managers, production planning, logistics, purchasing, and internal stakeholders regarding supply issues, delays, and shipment status.
- Ensure all Prototype and Pre-Series shipments are completed on schedule and meet customer expectations.
- Support freight planning and transportation activities while optimizing costs and delivery performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and launch-related issues.
- Provide customer updates regarding shipment delays, supply concerns, or schedule changes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, planning processes, and launch execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain compliance with company standards related to quality, environmental management, safety, and data security.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Experience supporting Prototype, Pre-Series, Launch, or New Program Introduction activities.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, material planning, and customer scheduling processes.
- Advanced SAP experience, including material planning and inventory management functions.
- Ability to analyze inventory data, identify shortages, and drive corrective actions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with customers, suppliers, project teams, purchasing, logistics, and production departments.
- Knowledge of automotive customer-specific requirements (CSR) is preferred.
- Flexibility to support business needs outside of regular working hours when required.
