About the role:
Assistant General Manager of the R-C Ranch Butcher Shop reports to the General Manager. The role is designed to work alongside General Manager and Production Lead to perform daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities of both butcher shop and ecommerce. This role requires attention to detail, proper planning and effective communication skills. In addition, this role requires weekly communication with shipping company.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with interviewing, hiring, training and coaching of staff
· Assist with procurement process – ordering necessary product, supplies and merchandise
· Creating and managing work schedules, including schedules for team members to ensure appropriate coverage as well as process schedules
· Providing support to leadership with operational tasks such as budgeting or strategic planning
· Delegating tasks appropriately to balance team member workloads while supporting business goals
· Oversee, package and ship weekly ecommerce orders
· Manage customer service of ecommerce – emails, calls, complaints, customer information
· Manage inventory of product related to ecommerce business
· Manage inventory of packaging materials related to ecommerce business
· Plan and communicate with shipping company for shipment of orders
· Oversee proper invoicing of additional ecommerce/butcher shop orders
· Assist GM with weekly inventory of butcher shop
· Assist GM with continued audit of Shopify for both ecommerce and butcher shop sales channels
· Assist with strategy development for ecommerce and in-shop events, i.e. corporate gifting, sales/promotions, Wagyu & Wine, HLSR gift card redemption
· Provide additional support with daily operations of butcher shop
Candidate requirements:
· Competency with Excel
· Competency with Shopify
· Flexibility in scheduling
· Food Manager Certification
· 2 year’s experience of staff management
· 2 year’s experience of food production
