Pastry Chef

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in cake decorating. This role involves preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Pastry Cook will work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional products that delight our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal.
• Package finished products for sale or catering events, maintaining freshness and presentation.
• Assist in food production and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area.
• Adhere to food safety standards and regulations throughout all food handling processes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients during special orders or events.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pastry preparation or baking within a culinary environment.
• Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of food production techniques and food handling practices.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knife skills.
• Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• A passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
