R&R Kennels is looking for an experienced, motivated Lead Dog Trainer to join our team This is a leadership role overseeing our training department at an already well established, high volume boarding, daycare, and grooming facility with an existing client base and strong community reputation.

What You'll Be Responsible For (Job Duties)
Training & Program Development
- Conduct one on one obedience training, behavior modification, and puppy training sessions.
- Assess dogs for temperament, training needs, and suitability for specific programs.
- Build new training packages, curriculum, and service offerings.
Client Communication & Education
- Meet with clients for evaluations, consultations, and follow up sessions.
- Provide detailed progress updates and training plans.
- Educate owners on proper handling, reinforcement, and at home continuation of programs.
Department Leadership
- Manage training schedules and client caseload.
- Maintain organized training notes, client files, and records.
- Collaborate with management to improve services, protocols, and program efficiency.
- Ensure all training methods align with our facility's standards of safety, professionalism, and positive reinforcement.
Facility Collaboration
- Work closely with kennel, daycare, and grooming staff to ensure dogs in training receive consistent handling.
- Assist with behavioral evaluations for dogs in daycare or boarding when needed.
- Identify dogs who may benefit from training programs and communicate with owners.
