What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator - 2nd Shift position at R.A. Heath Construction & Millwork?
RA Heath Construction & Millwork is a is seeking an experienced CNC Router Operator to join our Millwork Division team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the cabinet/casework industry and have a thorough background on operating, maintaining and training staff on utilizing the CNC.
We are currently hiring for a 2nd Shift operator: Mon - Thurs (2PM - 12:30 AM)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Read and interpret CNC programs and related work orders for specifications and part identification
· Cut precisely sized parts and label for easy identification
· Perform cutout on panel saw and table saw
· Communicate progress of work to the Shop Foreman and adjust work flow to meet production priorities
· Responsible for all routine maintenance of CNC router
· Make design and engineering recommendations for improved machining strategies
· Warehouse/work area responsibilities:
o Keep work are clean
o Return tools and equipment to designated storage area
o Turn off equipment when not in use and at the end of the work day
· Maintain safety standards
· Close and secure all warehouse overhead and entry doors at the end of the work day
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the wood machining and manufacturing industry with at least 1 year operating a CNC machine a plus. Good computer skills are a must for this position. It is also a PLUS if you hold a certificate of technical knowledge and training from a manufacturer of CNC equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered by employees performing essential job functions.
· Work station is indoors in a typical manufacturing facility with heat, but no air conditioning and occasional outdoor work may be required
· Must be able to operate lift truck to retrieve materials for machining
· Must wear safety glasses while working
· Must use hearing protection when required
· Dust masks may be used if desired
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform essential job functions.
· Must be able to lift 60 lbs. or more on a regular basis
· Must be able to bend, lift, squat, and/or kneel for an extended period of time
· Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for full shift, usually 8 to 10 hours
