About the Role
QVID Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Newark Site Lead for a global manufacturing organization. This executive leadership position is responsible for leading all operations at a large engineering plastics manufacturing facility while driving operational excellence, safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
The Site Lead will oversee manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, logistics, procurement, human resources, environmental health and safety, warehousing, and overall site operations while developing long-term business strategies and leading high-performing teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead all manufacturing and site operations.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Develop and execute long-term operational and asset strategies.
- Lead capital improvement projects and facility investments.
- Oversee quality, maintenance, engineering, logistics, procurement, warehousing, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
- Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and government regulations.
- Build, mentor, and develop leadership teams.
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to support product development and operational excellence.
- Represent the organization within the local community and with government agencies.
- Collaborate with regional and global leadership teams to support business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Technical Field.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 5 years managing managers and supervisors in a multi-level leadership environment.
- Labor relations experience.
- Extensive experience in the plastics or polymer manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience leading large manufacturing organizations.
- Experience managing capital projects.
- Continuous improvement leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience working within a global manufacturing organization.
