What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Systems Analyst position at Qventive Healthcare?
ABOUT QVENTIVE
Qventive is an IT managed service provider built specifically for healthcare. We partner with physician practices, specialty groups, and health systems to deliver reliable IT infrastructure, EHR/PM support, and clinical application expertise. Our team operates at the intersection of technology and patient care—where uptime and accuracy genuinely matter.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for an IT Analyst who thrives in fast-paced healthcare environments and understands that a ticket isn't just a ticket—it's a clinician, a workflow, and ultimately a patient. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients, handling Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, dispatching to client sites, and collaborating with senior engineers on escalations. If you have background with EHR or practice management systems, we want to know.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Client Support & Triage
- Serve as the primary contact for inbound tickets and support calls; triage issues quickly and set accurate expectations with clients
- Diagnose and resolve Tier 1/2 issues across workstations, networking, peripherals, and Microsoft 365
- Escalate Tier 3 issues to senior engineering with clear documentation and context
- Create and manage tickets in the PSA system (Autotask); maintain accurate time entries and ticket notes
Onsite & Field Work
- Dispatch to client locations across the region to troubleshoot issues and support project deployments
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, and peripherals
- Lead new user onboarding and user termination/offboarding procedures
- Handle phone system installations, upgrades, and end-user training as needed
Healthcare IT
- Support EHR, practice management, and clinical applications at client sites; platform experience is a plus—but eagerness to learn is the baseline requirement
- Eager to learn clinical workflows in order to triage EHR-related issues effectively and communicate urgency to escalation teams
- Vet hardware and software requests from clinical staff for compatibility and compliance fit
- Communicate proactively with client IT managers and CTOs about recurring issues and risk patterns
Security & Compliance
- Operate with HIPAA awareness in every client interaction—data handling, remote access, and device management
- Identify and flag potential security risks and vulnerabilities to the internal team
- Maintain accurate configuration records and client documentation in the RMM and PSA platforms
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 3–5 years of experience at a managed service provider
- 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field experience
- Strong Tier 1/2 troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall basics)
- Experience with Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Security Groups)
- Familiarity with a PSA ticketing platform such as Autotask or ConnectWise
- Understanding of HIPAA and the role of IT in protecting PHI
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation for client site visits
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 lbs
Preferred / Strong Plus
- Healthcare IT MSP experience—you've worked in clinical environments and understand the stakes
- Hands-on experience with EHR or PM systems: NextGen Enterprise/EPM, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Greenway, Epic, or similar
- Datto RMM or equivalent RMM platform experience
- Workspace One / AirWatch MDM experience
- Microsoft Exchange or Exchange Online administration
WHO YOU ARE
- You communicate clearly—with clients, with engineers, and in ticket notes
- You manage your own time and don't need hand-holding to prioritize a queue
- You're calm when things break and methodical when diagnosing the cause
- You take compliance seriously and understand why it matters in healthcare
- You're genuinely curious about clinical systems and motivated to build that expertise
- You can be on-site when it counts—including occasional after-hours work
