Fabric Research & Development (50%)
- The Fabric Sourcing Assistant supports QVC, and the Fabric Sourcing Manager in the reporting and management of raw materials from bulk commitment through delivery, including oversight of fabric claims across QVC private label, personality, and celebrity apparel brands.
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite in West Chester, PA (Studio Park) several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, DE. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Fabric Research & Development (50%)
- Manage QMAT creation across all fabric categories.
- Oversee inbound and outbound mail processing, including swatch cutting, package coordination, tracking, and documentation.
- Provide email and communication support for the Fabric Team.
- Support trend library maintenance and presentation preparation.
- Maintain data integrity for Fabric Trigger and Fabric Handover processes.
- Partner with the Fabric Manager and Associate on development communication and documentation.
- Attend brand development meetings when team members are unavailable.
- Source fabrics aligned with the Strategic Sourcing Strategy.
- Track and monitor fabric performance and sustainability claims; support submission and approval processes.
- Upload and maintain fabric testing reports; escalate issues to the Fabric Sourcing Manager.
- Maintain material management and data integrity in Flex PLM.
- Track sample yardage, material costs, and price changes.
- Support management of the nominated Mill Report Card.
- Identify opportunities for fabric quality consolidation across brands.
- Run PLM fabric analysis reports and maintain the fabric library.
- Execute required fabric sourcing reports.
- Perform other duties and activities as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience.
- Experience: Minimum two years in apparel fabric sourcing, R&D, or product development within a wholesale or retail design environment.
- Technical proficiency in knit and woven fabrics.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- PLM experience is preferred
