- If you are merchant who loves to guide progress our digital/on air commerce business is for you! As an Assistant Buyer you will help manage the Floorcare and Home Environment business.
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at the West Chester headquarters several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, and DE. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
- Identify, negotiate products, price and terms, buy and build new products, concepts, shows, and ideas to deliver sales results across our multi-platforms.
- Develop a sense for merchandising from recognizing product and customer trends to the ability to translate these trends into actual ideas/concepts/products/shows that will resonate with customers.
- Educate, communicate and negotiate with vendors and departments. Develop internal relationships and external vendor relationships.
- Lead the office function in the absence of the Buyer.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience in corporate buying.
- 1 – 3 Years related work experience.
- Ability to make oral and written presentations. Ability and confidence to present opinions and thoughts in a clear, unbiased manner.
- Excellent follow through skills with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
- Ability to access and enter information using automated systems.
