What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Apparel Designer (US) position at QVC?

- The Assistant Designer primary responsibility is to support the development process of private label product for QVC Proprietary / Collaboration Brands.
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our Studio Park location (West Chester, PA) several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, DE. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
- Product Development and Trend:
- Maintain awareness of seasonal trends.
- Create presentation materials for trend, color, and product assortment
- Prepare line and presentation materials for line reviews and buy meetings.
- Supports in developing seasonal color palettes.
- Manage specific fabrics for the season, work with sourcing team to build library.
- Assist in selecting styles, materials and colors that fit into the program and style plans.
- Working cross-functionally across QVC teams.
- Manage tech pack creation and in putting design details and sketches.
- Maintain and update development documentation in FLEX PLM and support the design team through the design and sourcing process, capturing all changes.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Design
- Experience working in a PLM system and Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
