Your Role
In this role, you'll support department leadership in overseeing the Housekeeping Department, helping ensure rooms, public areas, and laundry consistently meet hotel and brand standards. Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Support department leadership (Director of Housekeeping/Executive Housekeeper) in overseeing daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, directing housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are impeccably maintained.
- Conduct daily inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with hotel and brand standards.
- Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and place orders as needed to maintain proper stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Process purchase orders and invoices in compliance with hotel policies and budget guidelines.
- Create and manage department schedules and payroll in line with business forecasts to meet hotel productivity and budget requirements.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of housekeeping staff.
- Provide hands-on support during peak periods and oversee deep cleaning projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols, including sanitization and proper handling of chemicals and soiled linens.
- Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints with attentiveness and efficiency.
- Maintain key control systems and enforce proper radio communication etiquette within the department.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, safety protocols, and house rules.
- Collaborate with other departments and participate in hotel meetings as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2-3 years of progressive Housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting.
- Supervisory or leadership experience required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is preferred.
