What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician B/C (Union - Local 399) position at Quixote Studios?

What You’ll Do:
Respond to service calls during normal working hours (3:00pm – 11:30pm) as well as after hours as needed.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment on trailers.
Diagnose and repair generators, thermostats, water heaters, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using testing devices.
Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Maintain all vehicles, equipment, generators, lot and building needs.
Perform all interior/exterior repairs, generator maintenance and service, and other minor repairs in a timely manner.
Follow and adhere to safety rules, regulations, and proper use of safety equipment that pertains to each job skill and qualification.
Meet with supervisor to review information pertinent to the job performance, such as daily assignments, business levels, pending projects, etc.
Meet attendance policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What You’ll Need:
3 years of experience in a relevant position.
General knowledge of trailer manufacturing, repairing trailer components and inventory practices.
Generator repair experience.
General knowledge of hydraulic systems
Experience, knowledge, and skills of the methods, materials and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of equipment and power-driven tools.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Attentive to detail - accurate and thorough.
Ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently.

Working Conditions:
Activities include regularly working in outside weather conditions, exposure to extremes of temperature, visibility, wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. Noise level in work environment is usually loud. Dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, operating vehicle, and shift work.

Sylmar, CA; travel to other locations as needed.
