Position: High School School History Teacher
Location: Quitman County High School, Georgetown, Ga
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to high school students.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
3. Utilize a variety of instructional methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
4. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
6. Stay current with advancements in History education and integrate real-world applications into the curriculum.
7. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents/guardians.
8. Supervise and support student activities, such as debate club.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
2. Demonstrated passion for and expertise in teaching History subjects.
