Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated ER Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide acute care to patients of all ages, applying clinical judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills. This role involves performing nursing procedures, administering medications, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups
- Triage and prioritize patient needs in the Emergency Department
- Document nursing care accurately and efficiently in the EMR
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to hospital policy
- Recognize and respond to advanced cardiac arrhythmias following ACLS and PALS protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and external agencies for optimal patient care
- Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain department equipment and supplies
- Respond calmly and efficiently to emergent situations
- Provide discharge education to patients and families
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Iowa or multistate license eligible for Iowa
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates
Education & Experience
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Previous emergency nursing experience preferred
- 6–12 months of Medical/Surgical or Critical Care experience is helpful

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
