Responsibilities & Duties:
A Mobility Specialist (ATP) coordinates with the patient care team to provide the highest quality patient care and advocacy and works with referral sources to identify and develop new business. - Assists referral source in planning and implementing patient care. Promotes services and products to referral sources, as appropriate.
- Performs initial patient evaluation and on-going patient assessments and measurements. Obtains required paperwork/documentation, as needed.
- Reads and evaluates physicians' orders and patient chart information to determine patient's condition and treatment protocols
- Maintains thorough and appropriate documentation in patient medical record of all visits and procedures performed, as well as telephone contacts with the patient, caregiver, physician, and other members of the health care team
- Completes tasks, such as receiving, equipment preparation and repairs, order, new setups, exchanges or pick ups in a time efficient manner
- Provides education to patients and caregivers in proper use and care of equipment in the home setting. Assists in troubleshooting and resolving equipment problems.
- Cleans, sterilizes, checks, and maintains all equipment and accessories. Inventories and orders equipment and supplies.
- Travels by car to facilities, and/or patient homes, to provide services
- Provides clear and compassionate communication with the complete patient care team
- Assists with the company’s quality improvement program, to meet accreditation standards

Requirements
About You ---
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of mobility experience, or successful completion of factory training for HME
- RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) preferred
- Home health experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Driver’s License with clean driving record for 3 years
