Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of our hotel. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day operations while delivering exceptional guest experience. The General Manager will oversee staff, ensure smooth operations, and help maintain the unique character and high standards of our property.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast.
- Provide hands-on support to the team as needed, including assisting with front desk operations and guest interactions
- Hire, train, and manage staff while fostering a positive team culture
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and promptly resolve guest concerns
- Work one desk shifts a week, and fill in on others as needed
- Maintain property standards for cleanliness, safety, and service quality
- Build relationships with guests and vendors
- Help drive occupancy, positive reviews, and repeat business
Qualifications
- Hospitality or hotel management experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent guest service and communication abilities
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
- Experience with hotel management systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays (Days off typically Tuesday & Wednesday)
