PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Perform NGS workflows including nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, sequencing, and quality control.
• Manage high-throughput experiments while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and reproducibility.
• Ensure high-quality data generation by strictly adhering to protocols, best practices, and quality control measures.
• Track and update inventory data in digital systems to maintain accurate lab inventory records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate project success and drive continuous lab improvements.
•Oversee lab inventory management, ensuring necessary reagents, supplies, and equipment are readily available for experiments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Advanced knowledge of molecular biology and NGS workflows is essential.
• Molecular biology or NGS library preparation Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in PCR or NGS library preparation.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
•Fundamental Knowledge of NGS Technologies: Solid understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows, including the principles and operations of Illumina sequencers, Element Biosciences’ AVITI system, and PacBio sequencing platforms.
•High-Throughput Sample Processing: Proven experience managing large volumes of samples in high-throughput settings, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely processing.
•Expertise in Molecular Biology and Library Preparation: Strong proficiency in PCR techniques and NGS library preparation, with hands-on experience optimizing protocols for quality and consistency.
•Collaborative Team Member: Effective communicator and team player with a track record of contributing to team efficiency, troubleshooting, and continuous workflow improvement in a collaborative lab environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with automation platforms and liquid-handling systems
• Experience in Pacbio sequencing
