Lead PL/SQL Developer – Quinnox

Role Overview

Quinnox is seeking a Lead PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in Rosemont, IL. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, database objects, and reporting solutions that power enterprise-scale data platforms. We’re looking for a senior-level professional with deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, and reporting tools such as SSRS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database objects including tables, views, materialized views, procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes for data transformation and integration.
• Analyze and enhance database performance through indexing, query plans, and SQL hints.
• Partner with business analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide Level 2 support, perform root-cause analysis for production issues, and execute ad-hoc business queries.
• Manage change requests and bug fixes through standard SDLC processes.
• Lead and mentor a small offshore team of developers.

Required Skills

• Databases: Oracle 11g/12c, MS SQL Server
• Programming: PL/SQL, SQL, ETL methodologies
• Tools: SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL*Plus, SSRS
• Operating System: Windows
• Other Expertise: Performance Tuning, Data Modeling, Error Handling, Job Scheduling
• Industry Experience: Manufacturing, Distribution, or Logistics

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Proven success in fast-paced, client-facing environments
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan WMS, Körber, or similar)
