This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with dogs, takes pride in providing excellent hands-on care, and is willing to jump in wherever the dogs and team need support.

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bathing and drying dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Ear cleaning and basic ear care
- Nail trimming/Dremeling
- Brush-outs and coat maintenance
- Groom dogs according to breed standards and owner preferences
- Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques
- Assist with pet handling during grooming procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Support kennel cleaning, heavy lifting, and animal care duties as needed to ensure a tidy and safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Recognizing and communicating changes in a dog's coat, skin, ears, nails, behavior, or overall condition
- Following QK's established handling, safety, sanitation, and care procedures

WHEN THE BATHING & GROOMING SCHEDULE SLOWS DOWN...
This isn't a position where you'll simply wait around for the next dog.
During downtime, you'll be expected to assist with canine husbandry and daily operations, which may include:
- Dog walks & hikes
- Structured exercise
- Kennel care and cleaning
- Feeding and medication support
- Assisting with canine services
- Helping with daycare activities
- General dog handling and care
- Supporting the team wherever needed
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Has previous professional dog bathing, grooming, kennel, daycare, veterinary, or similar canine-care experience
- Is confident and comfortable handling a variety of dogs
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Understands safe and appropriate canine handling
- Is reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
- Can stay productive during slower periods
- Is comfortable working in a busy, sometimes noisy canine environment
- Takes pride in cleanliness and presentation
- Is willing to learn and follow QK's specific standards and procedures
- Understands that teamwork means being willing to help outside of your primary role
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
