Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Periodontist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in periodontal therapy, with a focus on patient-centered care and advanced dental procedures. As a key member of our practice, you will provide specialized periodontal treatments, collaborate with general dentists, and contribute to maintaining exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive periodontal examinations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct procedures such as periodontal scaling, root planing, and surgical interventions including gum grafts and pocket reduction surgeries.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging tools to diagnose and monitor periodontal conditions accurately.
- Collaborate closely with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients on periodontal health, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
Experience
- Proven experience as a periodontist with a strong background in both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for documentation and treatment planning.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and anatomy relevant to periodontal health.
- Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other advanced procedures efficiently.
- Prior experience working in dental clinics or healthcare settings emphasizing infection control and medical records management.
