What are the responsibilities and job description for the HiSET Test Proctor - LPT - Quincy College position at Quincy College?
POSITION SUMMARY: The test proctor will assist students taking examinations at Quincy College. The Test Proctor performs duties including identification, admission, seating, and monitoring of examinees, in adherence with Quincy College policies. The test proctor performs duties relating to preparation of testing rooms and test materials in advance of testing, and records data on transmittal sheets after testing, as directed. The proctor must be available for flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The proctor may also be asked to assist with other duties related to the College's tutoring center and other student development services.
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous test proctoring experience preferred.
Commitment to proctor exams for the entire semester.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule - various days; various hours 8:00am- 6pm
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multicultural setting.
Commitment to meeting the needs of our diverse student body.
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
Demonstrated organization skills
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)preferred

TRAVEL: Occasional local travel may be required
Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain a safe and calm testing environment.
Check identification before testing and seat examinees for testing.
Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all testing procedures.
Monitor students during test sessions to ensure a secure testing environment.
Control Admission to and from testing room.
Strictly adhere to Quincy College policies.
Report suspected irregularities in a timely manner to examinee supervisor or student development staff.
Be punctual for all scheduled shifts.
Complete appropriate paperwork for various exams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
