Position Summary The Research & Development Associate will support formulation projects through experimental work, analytical testing, and documentation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys laboratory work, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a science-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with formulation, testing, and evaluation of new and existing products
- Prepare laboratory-scale batches and record observations
- Perform routine HPLC analysis
- Perform a variety of physical and chemical tests using appropriate lab techniques and instrumentation, including:
- HPLC, Particle Size Analyzer, Viscometer, pH meter, analytical balances, homogenizers
- Accurately record, document, and analyze experimental data
- Interpret experimental results, identify trends, and contribute to technical reports
- Conduct research on ingredients of interest, surfactant systems, and pre-formulation concepts
- Monitor inventory of ingredients, supplies, and consumables
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for degree depending on level
- 2-4 years hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry)
- Experience with HPLC or similar analytical instrumentation
- Strong documentation discipline and data integrity mindset
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to follow written procedures and work safely in a lab environment
- Clear communication skills and collaborative work style

- Salary range: $65,000-$73,500 plus annual bonus potential
