We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a busy community pharmacy. The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist in daily operations, provide excellent customer service, and ensure accurate and efficient prescription processing.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the system
- Handle insurance claims and resolve billing issues
- Assist customers with drop-offs, pick-ups, and general inquiries
- Maintain inventory, stock shelves, and monitor for expired medications
- Answer phone calls and coordinate with healthcare providers when needed
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred (retail experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems (e.g., PrimeRx) is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
