What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemedicine physician position at QuickMD?
Join a leading telemedicine provider delivering high-quality virtual care across 44 states. We help patients access essential medical treatment, with a focus on addiction care and general telehealth services.
As a telemedicine physician, you will provide exceptional virtual care, including patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate medical treatment. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, building therapeutic doctor-patient relationships.
You will order and interpret lab tests as needed to make informed, high-quality treatment decisions. You will prescribe medications and provide expert guidance on their proper usage (we do not prescribe controlled substances, except for buprenorphine for opioid addiction treatment).
You will collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, experienced nurses, and a dedicated support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. You will maintain appropriate medical documentation to support continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, but preferably five, plus willingness to obtain additional state licenses (assistance provided and costs covered)
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8 AM-6 PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
- Passion for expanding access to care and making a meaningful impact
- At least one DEA certification and applicable CSL (if required)
