Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Independent Contractor specializing in Floorcare to provide high-quality cleaning services for commercial retail facility. We are looking for an individual or team that also has their own floor buffer and auto scrubber. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in janitorial tasks, floor maintenance, and facilities upkeep. This role offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to manage your own schedule while delivering exceptional cleaning results. Candidates with prior experience in custodial work, buffing, auto scrubbing and general maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed floor care including buffing, stripping, auto scrubbing, sealing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance across various surfaces.
- Conduct routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in commercial retail settings.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely.
- Identify maintenance needs or repairs and report issues promptly to ensure facility safety and functionality.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures during all cleaning activities.
- Manage your own schedule to service multiple clients effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial services, custodial work, or related facilities maintenance roles.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, auto scrubbing, industrial cleaning, and floor restoration processes.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, auto scrubbers, polishers, extractors, and related equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
- Reliable transportation to reach various client sites independently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism.
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning, residential painting, or porter duties is a plus.
