Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions efficiently and securely
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information with enthusiasm
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and managing stock levels to support store operations
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic retail math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
- Support team members through supervising experience when applicable, helping coordinate daily tasks and ensuring smooth store flow
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment are highly valued
- Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and cash handling purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
