For over 25 years, Quick Response Fire Protection has proudly provided the design, installation, maintenance, inspections and repairs of fire protection systems within the tri-state area. Along the way, Quick Response has grown to become the largest provider of fire protection systems in the state of New Jersey, providing fire protection services to all industries and property types.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Fire Alarm Lead to support our team in Freehold, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for growing the sales of the business unit through strategically developing relationships and working to provide operational processes to increase the effectiveness of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build great leaders
- Remove obstacles for your team
- Identify training indicators and facilitate action individual development plans
- Develop operational processes for the department to improve efficiency
- Liaison with other departments/offices to leverage capabilities and customer base
- Participate in Branch strategic planning/budgeting and nest department initiatives within
- Oversee scheduling and payroll
- Review best practices with team to ensure the company’s best interests are met
- Track jobs financially to ensure they are staying within budget and on schedule
- Complete monthly WIP reports, billings, and prepare work orders for AR
- Monitor open invoices for timely payment and coordinate collection strategies
- Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Clearly communicates directions and information both oral and written. Speaks effectively before groups as well as individuals. Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills to include the Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university
- One or two years related experience and/or training in a construction industry preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and Oversee the Fire Alarm Department
- Responsible for strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Manage and oversee existing team members
- Hire and develop new talent
- Responsible for growth of the business unit
- Ownership of Department level P&L
- Act as part of Branch Management Team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Daily standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, talking, and hearing
- Moderate noise level of an office environment
- Loud or very loud noise levels when visiting a job site (about 30% of the time)
