This position is a critical step on the path to becoming a Shop Manager. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all technician duties, including draining motor oil, changing oil filters, greasing chassis fittings, washing windshields, and adjusting tire pressure Inspect and top off vehicle fluids Assist customers in selecting oil types and additional services Process payments for services performed Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies on the shop floor Keep the shop, office, and restrooms clean and organized Check in with customers before they leave to ensure a great experience Ensure proper store operation in the absence of the Shop Manager Perform opening and closing procedures Assist with inventory counting and adjustments Serve as a role model to other employees, supporting team culture without direct responsibility for hiring or firing Qualifications/ Physical RequirementsStrong commitment to learning and mastering Quick Lube of Carolina LLC / Take 5 Oil Change’s oils and services Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot deep pit safely Physical capability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform manual tasks for extended periods Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Alertness and situational awareness in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Reliable transportation
