This position is for the Store Manager to help lead store financial stewardship, customer service, merchandising, food safety, work safety, communication, hiring, training, and performance management. Ensures the store provides an exceptional customer shopping experience, with the highest level of service and product knowledge. Promotes a positive and progressive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with a focus on team management.
- Project and meet sales goals
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Write orders and receive freight
- Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
- Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends
- Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.)
- Ability to be on call as needed
- Additional store manager duties as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with a focus on team management.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others positively.
- Proficient in payroll management, cash handling, and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with effective time management abilities.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies that drive sales within a retail environment.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay may also include annual bonus based on performance.
