The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care for a mixed-acuity population, including progressive care patients and those recovering from cardiac procedures. Managing a typical assignment of 4–5 patients, the nurse uses a centralized telemetry system to monitor cardiac status, deliver coordinated care, and support safe patient outcomes.
13 Week Contract with the option to extend
Shifts: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Charting: Epic - Required
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing cardiac monitoring.
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and identify changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and provide intravenous therapy as appropriate.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to clinical deterioration and participate in rapid response interventions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and ongoing care.
- Coordinate care and support effective discharge planning.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring experience.
- Intravenous therapy experience.
- Electronic health record experience.
- Strong critical-thinking and clinical communication skills.
- Experience providing patient education.
