RN Registered Nurse ICU

The RN Registered Nurse ICU provides critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment, ensuring continuous monitoring and comprehensive management of medical and trauma ICU patients. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the nurse collaborates closely with support staff to deliver timely, evidence-based care, utilizing electronic health record systems to document and coordinate patient treatment. This role primarily involves night shifts in settings with low nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

13 Week Contract with high option to extend

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Charting: Epic

Strong Neuro experience Required

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously
• Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and altered patient conditions
• Perform thorough patient assessments to guide care planning
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the team
• Document patient information and care activities in Electronic Health Records
• Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and support staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in critical care nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments
• Strong skills in patient assessment and medication administration
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Expertise in emergency response and infection control
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
