We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our team.
13 Contract PER DIEM Contract
Shift - Day 1x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00) - Weekday Shifts Only
Requirements:
2 years of recent PSR experience - Adult Outpatient Clinic experience preferred!
Epic experience
Must be comfortable and willing to float to the Centralia and Aberdeen locations based on need!
Job Responsibility Summary:
Provide effective and efficient front office services to patients; coordinate internal and external clinic phone communications among staff, patients, and providers; accurately collect records and ensure distribution to appropriate staff via computer and/or manual systems; perform clerical, scheduling, and records activities in support of patients and staff. Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of Providence and their families.
- Greet, check-in, verify patient's information and collect in a friendly and courteous manner in person and on the phone; direct flow of patients and calls.
- Collect and verify accurate and complete demographic information from patient or family member.
- Accurately enter all data into the information system and update established patient files as necessary.
- Process clerical records and information for clinic patients including patient charts and refer to billing when appropriate.
- Handles patient payments of cash, checks, and credit cards according to policy. Posts payments to computer, balances and closes payment batches. Ensure required authorizations are present on all patient documents.
- Manage patient electronic charts including chart organization, May help with purging of inactive charts.
