Low Voltage/Structured Cabling Technician – $26-$34/hr – Kansas City, KS
We are seeking experienced Low Voltage/Structured Cabling Technicians for a large data-center project in Kansas City, KS. Candidates should be dependable, organized, and capable of completing clean, professional installations with minimal supervision.
Pay & Schedule
- $26-$34/hr, based on experience
- Tentative October start
- Day shift
- Overtime and weekend work available
- Project expected to continue through the end of the year
- Weekly pay
- No per diem
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate Cat5e and Cat6 cabling
- Install equipment racks and patch panels
- Install J-hooks and cable-support systems
- Route, dress, label, and organize cabling
- Read basic prints, layouts, and installation drawings
- Test connections and troubleshoot common cabling issues
- Maintain clean, organized, data-center-quality workmanship
- Work independently while meeting project standards and deadlines
Requirements
- Previous low-voltage or structured-cabling experience
- Able to work independently
- Cat5e and Cat6 termination experience
- Rack, patch-panel, and J-hook installation experience
- Ability to read basic prints
- Current lift certification required
- Must bring required PPE on the first day
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
- Must meet E-Verify requirements
- English-speaking or bilingual candidates accepted
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
