The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Georgia Workers' Compensation laws and experienced handling indemnity/lost time claims while delivering exceptional customer service to injured workers, employers, and other stakeholders.

Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Lost Time Claims Adjuster to manage a caseload of Georgia Workers' Compensation claims from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Georgia Workers' Compensation laws and experienced handling indemnity/lost time claims while delivering exceptional customer service to injured workers, employers, and other stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of Georgia Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims.
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust claims in accordance with Georgia Workers' Compensation statutes.
- Determine compensability and establish appropriate reserves.
- Coordinate medical treatment and return-to-work efforts.
- Communicate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and vendors.
- Review medical documentation and wage information.
- Authorize and process indemnity and medical payments.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation and diary management.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with company guidelines and state regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims adjusting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
- Ability to independently manage a full indemnity claim inventory.
- Excellent investigation, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency using claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Active Georgia Adjuster License (if required).
- Experience working for a TPA, insurance carrier, or self-insured employer.
- Professional designations such as AIC, CPCU, or WCCA are a plus.
