Our client, a well-established agency/broker with over 150 years of legacy in Texas, is seeking an experienced Insurance Placement Manager to join their growing insurance agency team. This role will focus exclusively on Commercial Lines and offers the opportunity to work with a team committed to integrity, excellence, and providing exceptional client service.
Who You Are
As an Insurance Placement Manager, you are an evaluator and strategist. You will be responsible for evaluating current insurance programs, identifying viable insurance markets, and preparing comprehensive submission information for prospective clients. You will market new and renewal commercial insurance accounts regardless of size, while using your desire for constant improvement to strategize with staff and identify opportunities to re-market selected accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Perform follow-ups with companies for completion of the submission and underwriting process, highlighting unique characteristics of each risk
- Acts as account executive as requested on selected accounts
- Assists producers in developing and servicing of accounts
- Negotiate any adjustments in the product, price, terms, commissions, or endorsements
- Assist in the design and implementation of the renewal strategy
- Act as the agency point of contact for communication and interaction with carrier partners
- Stay up to date with changes in the industry
- Provide technical support for the production and service staff, including researching coverage and market issues
- Maintain the branch technical resource library
- Oversees or completes other special projects as assigned by the Agency Manager
- Ensures that internal controls are in place and functioning properly
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
- 5-10 years experience in the insurance industry
- Texas General lines Agent License: Property and Casualty (P&C) or attainment within 90 days
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Insurance professional designations such as Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)

The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking and sales acumen, with a background as an account manager or account executive. You should be described as someone with an inquisitive mind, a thirst for knowledge, and a goal-oriented mindset who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $93,592.75 – $136,300.12
Bonus Structure: While this role is not commission-eligible and does not have a standard incentive/bonus plan, it is eligible for performance-based discretionary bonuses at manager’s discretion.
