ROLE SUMMARY

Quest specializes in consolidating data, cost reduction, and reducing landfilled waste as an outsourced solution for clients. With expertise in managing 130 waste streams and partnerships with over 3,500 vendors, Quest provides seamless waste and recycling services to help businesses optimize operations, reduce costs, and meet sustainability goals. Quest’s solutions emphasize streamlined vendor management, cost efficiency, simplified billing, and service optimization, all designed to drive sustainability in a cost-conscious manner.

The National Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategic sales initiatives. This position requires strong leadership, in-depth industry knowledge, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions and achieve organizational objectives.

Using the Quest's value-based Method sales methodology, the National Sales Manager works to optimize outreach strategies, manage key accounts, and support long-term business success. The role emphasizes relationship building, effective communication, and consultative selling to deliver innovative waste and recycling solutions that meet client needs.

Success in this role depends on a proactive approach, strong presentation and listening skills, and the ability to clearly articulate the company’s value proposition in a dynamic and competitive market.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Industry & Market Expertise: Research and analyze business trends, competitor landscapes, and industry opportunities to understand client needs and deliver targeted solutions.
  • Sustainability Expertise: Stay informed on sustainability best practices, environmental regulations, and industry trends to provide clients with eco-friendly and compliant solutions.
  • Company & Solution Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Quest’s solutions, values, and processes to effectively position our offerings in the market.
  • Strategic Selling & Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
    • Utilize consultative sales techniques to assess client needs and align Quest’s solutions to business challenges.
    • Develop and implement account strategies for long-term client success.
    • Develop proposals tailored to client needs and business goals.
    • Address client pain points related to waste management inefficiencies, vendor management complexities, and sustainability challenges.
    • Close new business opportunities through a strategic sales approach that highlights Quest’s unique advantages in vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and landfill diversion.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (Client Services, Vendor Relations, Accounting, etc.) to ensure seamless client onboarding and implementation.
    • Address client concerns and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting:
    • Track sales activities, progress, and performance metrics using Monday.com CRM.
    • Provide regular reports on sales pipeline, prospect engagement, and revenue forecasts.
    • Identify trends and areas for improvement to optimize sales strategies.
  • Marketing & Brand Awareness:
    • Represent Quest at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with business goals.
    • Contribute to team training, mentorship, and best practice sharing.
  • Travel Requirements: This position requires at least 50% travel for client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities

 

PERFORMANCE GOALS

  • Annual Revenue Goal: $5 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
  • Quarterly Proposal Goal: $5 million in ARR (Proposals must be recorded in the CRM).
  • Lead Management: Maintain 100 companies actively worked in the CRM “Leads” stage.
  • Sales Funnel Requirements (15% Close Rate):
    • Stage 1: Maintain $30 million ARR.
    • Stage 2: Maintain $10 million ARR.
    • Stage 3: Maintain $10 million ARR.
  • CRM Accuracy: Ensure all sales activities and progress are accurately tracked in Monday.com for performance accountability.

Qualifications:

ROLE COMPENTENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 6-10 years of proven B2B sales experience in Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Grocery, Food Distribution, Retail, Manufacturing, or Hospitality industries is strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling environmental services and sustainability solutions within these industries is a plus.
  • Strong consultative sales skills with a track record of closing large regional or national accounts.
  • Passionate about building relationships, connecting with clients, and creating meaningful business opportunities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, active listening abilities, and the ability to communicate value effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Monday.com CRM.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to industry changes.
