Toddler Program Teacher Assistant (Montessori)

Quest Montessori School is seeking two caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher’s Assistants to join our Early Childhood team.

We are currently hiring for:

• One immediate opening
• One position beginning August 31, 2026

These are full-time, year-round positions supporting children ages 18 months to 3 years during both the academic year and summer camp program.

At Quest Montessori School, we believe in fostering independence, curiosity, and respect for every child. The Toddler Teacher’s Assistant works closely with the Lead Teacher to maintain a calm, nurturing, and engaging Montessori environment that supports the development of our youngest learners.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing the classroom environment for the day
• Maintaining the order, beauty, and cleanliness of the classroom
• Supporting children’s independence and self-help skills
• Encouraging positive behavior through respectful guidance
• Assisting with classroom activities and Montessori materials
• Creating and preparing Montessori materials as needed
• Assisting children with toileting and personal care routines
• Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play
• Supervising rest and nap periods
• Assisting with snack and meal routines
• Collaborating with classroom staff to support the daily flow of the program
• Helping ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting
• A genuine respect for young children as capable individuals
• A warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• A willingness to accept direction while also demonstrating initiative
• Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude

Montessori experience is welcomed but not required. We are happy to support candidates who are interested in learning more about Montessori education.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

• The is a childcare position and therefore requires a Comprehensive Background Check and Department of Human Service (DHS) Clearance. Must have up to date pediatric CPR/First Aid certification, ability to provide proof of DHS required immunizations and yearly flu vaccination.
