CNC Machinist/Operator

• Sets up, programs, and operates CNC machines (Computer numerical control) i.e. Mills and Lathes.
• Installs work holding as well as tooling necessary to complete job.
• Sets work and tooling offsets
• Plans and performs a variety of machining operations.
• Interprets mechanical drawings to dictate work to be completed as well as producing parts to desired specifications.
• Reviews process sheets and specifications to determine order of operations and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Detects malfunctions and corrects issues by changing worn tools and wear offsets.
• Performs a variety of inspection and gauging operations.
• Shows proficiency in use of gaging tools such as micrometers, height stand, calipers, gage pins, profilometer, drop indicator, and optical comparator.
